FAQ

Frequently Asked Question(s)

Q: Why do you call for Free Election 2010?
A: Our ultimate goal is for the people of Iran to freely choose their government. By freely, we mean that no one can choose who gets to participate in an election.
That all candidates are free to inform the population about their policies and that no one is afraid to speak their mind.

Q: Why are you saying that Ahmadinejad is not  Irans legitimate president?
A: We believe that an important first step to free elections is that the Iranian regime recognizes that Ahmadinejad was chosen illegitimately.
Why is that? Because, that makes the regime admit that they have been lying during all of the unrests.

Q: What is printed on the pre-designed voting slip?
A: There’s a caricature picture of Ahmadinejad which is crossed over.
Below the picture is written: “Ahmadinejad is NOT the president of
Iran”

Q: How many times can I vote?
A: The poll is set to allow each IP number only one vote.

Q: How will this action help the people of Iran?
A:This campaign has two objectives:
1) Give courage and strength to the people of Iran.
2) Unite the political opposition abroad to cover the maximum pressure on the Iranian regime.

Q: Why the masks?
A: The objective is two-fold.
1) we want to show that it doesn’t matter what background or political affiliation you have, that we are all united for a common cause.
2) we want to show sympathy for the people in Iran, the people that can not show their faces because of fear of ohppression.

Q: What can I do to help?
A:  You can arrange an event just like this one on the 12th of June in your city. You can document it in any way you like. Send your movie/pictures or any other documents from that day to us at iranelection2010@gmail.com Our mission is to collect as much as possible from countries all over the world. By doing so we are showing our strength and unity to Ahmadinejad, his illegitimate government and his supporters.

Q: I would like to add my city event on the site.
A: Okey, then just write the name of the city, place of the event, and time in the “leave a comment” box in the Election in your country section.

Q: Who are you guys?
A: We are a gruop of young Swedish/Danish-Iranians working for democracy and freedom in Iran. The purpose of our work is first and foremost to increase public and political awareness of the current struggle for freedom in Iran.

Q: Why are you doing this?
A: To make sure that the world does not forget what happened in Iran after the presidential election in June 2009.

Q: Any political or religious reasons?
A: We are not associated with any political party neither do we have any religious views. We are a group of young people from different social backgrounds and religious beliefs. All of us have a common goal; We want to make sure no one forgets what is happening in Iran!
